With a background in acting and music, Heidi DeFabritus serves as a Monroe Township Schools substitute teacher and ensures a positive, well-behaved, and structured classroom environment. She also sings with the New York City area band The Hound Dogs, focusing on classic rock and soul tunes. Heidi DeFabritus excels in teaching children to sing and has taken roles in musicals such as the “Oliver,” “Oklahoma,” and the Off-Broadway show “Bernie’s Bar Mitzvah.”
As fundraising chair of the Strand Theater in Lakewood from 2014 to 2019, Ms. DeFabritus oversaw volunteer and donor recognition programs, and sustained a robust ecosystem of giving. She also planned and marketed events such as silent auctions and dinner dances that brought needed funds to a dynamic arts organization.
Heidi DeFabritus’ experience extends to positions in real estate such as assistant property manager and bookkeeper with Cross Mill Associates in Lakewood. Responsible for accounts payable and receivable, she undertook property inspections and oversaw maintenance activities, as well as showed vacant spaces to prospective tenants.
